Tyler Bright takes Arenacross Lites class

 

HAMPTON, VA (February 2, 2008)– Kelly Smith went wire to wire aboard his Team Babbitts/Monster Energy Kawasaki for the victory.  Gray Davenport overcame a spill on the run up to the Toyota catapult jump to take second and Tyler Bright made a late race charge to finish in third.

 

Gray Davenport explained his soil sample like this, “Me and Ginolfi actually went down, I got up and just kept trying, I didn’t know what place I was in.  It was a fun race though.”

 

Kelly Smith summed up his ride like this, “I was just havin’ fun, If we weren’t out here having fun it wouldn’t be worth doing.  That’s half of it, you know this is my job, but I’m blessed and really happy with the win.”

 

In the Arenacross Lites class main event Tyler Bright checked out early and sailed to an easy victory.  Gray Davenport did his best to close the gap but Bright had his Foremost Insurance/Carolina Express Suzuki on a rail.  Kyle Tobin finished third for his first podium of the season on his Team GPF/Babbits Online Kawasaki.

 

Racing returns on February 15 in Pikeville, KY at the Eastern Kentucky Expo Center.
